When it comes to scoring goals, nobody lights the lamp like Alex Ovechkin, and it's not even close.

Ever since entering the league, all he's done is score goals and break records, and although the playoff success isn't there yet, the numbers are and always will be.

Tuesday night against the Wild, Ovi continued his stellar season by recording a hat trick in Washington's 5-4 overtime win.

The hat trick was historic, and as these stats will display, it further cemented his place in the history books.

Undefeated

When Ovechkin records a hat trick, the Caps winning the game is pretty much a lock.

What's also a lock is Washington's owner refunding hats.

That's A First

It turns out Ovechkin hasn't done everything in regards to goal scoring just yet.

Three power-play goals in a game is rare, but it was only a matter of time before he accomplished the feat.

Multi-Goal King

No player since the 1994-95 season has more multi-goal games than Ovechkin.

The fact that he has 35 more than any other player since he entered the league is also pretty ridiculous.

Moving On Up

Ovi's only 63 power-play goals away from passing Dave Andreychuk for first on the all-time list.
