The Edmonton Oilers are enjoying their best campaign in recent memory, thanks in part to a busy 2016 offseason.

The team managed to sign power-forward Milan Lucic, and famously acquired Adam Larsson for their former first-overall pick, left-winger Taylor Hall. If you can recall correctly, Hall, who now wears number nine for the New Jersey Devils, used to wear number four for the Oilers. An Edmonton fan attempted to convert their Hall sweater into a Zack Kassian jersey, another player on the team’s roster who has stepped up during the postseason, and conveniently rocks the number 44. Unfortunately for the fan, it doesn’t exactly look authentic.

The first four could certainly be bigger, and it would probably look a little better if the name-bar wasn’t yellow, but we guess it’s better to rock a current player’s name on the back, rather than a former player’s.

It's always a treat to find a fan who does everything he/she can to save their jersey after the player on the back has been traded.
