It's about that time of year again where teams are on the verge of winning championships and celebrating with the entire city.

Cleveland's championship celebration last summer was incredible, and we imagine if Nashville wins the Stanley Cup, it will be very similar as they have never won a Cup before.

If the Capitals were to have made it to the final and won, the celebration in Washington would have been spectacular as the fans have been waiting for a championship for a long, long time.

Sunday, while Alex Ovechkin was in Moscow, he was asked about what the Caps would do to celebrate a Stanley Cup win by Sport-Express’s Sergei Astakhov and Yevgeny Belousov:

Sport-Express: Did you see how [team captain Denis Glushakov] celebrated [FC Spartak-Moscow’s Russian Premier League win] at the stadium by climbing out onto the roof with a a jar of Russian moonshine in his hand?

Alex Ovechkin: No.

Sport-Express: Would something like that be possible in Washington?

Alex Ovechkin: Well, if we had won we might not have been drinking moonshine at the [Verizon Center].

Sport-Express: You would have stormed the Capitol?

Alex Ovechkin: Absolutely!

(Translation from Russian Machine Never Breaks)

The moonshine celebration they refer to is absolutely incredible to say the least, but storming the Capitol would be something else entirely.

We hope Ovi follows through if the Capitals win a Cup because that would be a legendary way to celebrate.
