Professional athletes were all kids at one point with big dreams of meeting their favourite players, so when we say athletes pay it forward, it's always very heartwarming to see.

It's also awesome to see the players have some fun with little kids, too, and that's exactly what happened at a recent Grand Rapids Griffins game.

Ahead of the game, Matthew Ford came over to the bench and gave a little kid a puck, which as you could imagine made his day.

It only got better, though, as Ford proceeded to snow the little kid and he loved every second of it.

That right there is what hockey is all about.  The smile on that child's face was just so wonderful to see, and we're sure Ford enjoyed pranking him as much as he enjoyed being pranked.

We're sure the little kid also enjoyed the game as Grand Rapids delivered a victory, making the game that much more memorable.
