There was a scary scene in Boston on Tuesday night as Arizona Coyotes forward Alexander Burmistrov was decked by Boston Bruins defenceman Colin Miller in open ice early into the second period.
Burmistrov was down on the ice for quite some time, before he was stretchered off the ice. Before leaving the ice for good for the night, Burmistrov let the fans in attendance know that he was alright despite the fact he was getting stretchered off by giving them the double thumbs up.
After trying to wrap their heads around what just happened to their teammate, the Coyotes players were able to breathe a little easier after the second period when they got word that their teammate was doing OK via his Instagram account.
Hopefully Burmistrov didn’t suffer anything too serious on the play and he is able to return to action sooner rather than later.
