Canadian Sprinter Andre De Grasse feels confident he can take down his friend and rival, world-record sprinter Usain Bolt.

This August, the two will compete against one another at the IAAF World Championships in London. In an interview with the Associated Press, De Grasse stated, “I feel like I have a great chance in both 100 or 200 meters this year. If I can execute my race and I’m in top shape I feel like I can do that.”

De Grasse (time of 20.02) nearly captured gold in the 200-meter at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, but saw Bolt narrowly finish ahead of him (19.78). Bolt also captured the 100-meter last summer (9.81) while De Grasse (9.91) earned bronze behind American Sprinter Justin Gatlin (9.89).

De Grasse, 22, is only going to get faster as his career progresses whereas Bolt, 30, isn’t going to get much quicker. It would be an underdog story if the Canadian were to pull off the victory, but it’s not out of the question.
