Andrew Shaw is known for being a tough guy on the ice, but he's a prankster off of it.
Brendan Gallagher and his soaking wet feet can attest to that. While giving an interview about the new players coming into the Habs’ dressing room, Gallagher maintains his composure until the end of the scrum, where we see that Shaw has been pouring water on his feet the whole time.
We’re not sure what the end goal for Shaw was in this prank, but you can hear him saying “Did you pee your pants?”
Pranks are familiar territory for the any NHL locker room, including the Habs. We always love to see them, especially if they can spice up an interview a bit like these ones. Over the years there have been rumours of locker room riffs with the Habs, but clearly that’s all just noise.
Pranks are a good sign that a team is in a good place and comfortable with each other, such as in the 2015 playoffs when the Habs locked in a series win over the Sens and pranked Carey Price.
