Saturday, United States President Donald Trump tweeted from his account that Steph Curry's invitation to the White House had been rescinded due to the Warriors point guard stating that he did not want to attend.
Shortly after the tweet was shared from Trump's account, LeBron James came to Curry's defence, responding with a tweet of his own, referring to the President as a "bum."
The tweet has already received over 100,000 retweets, and the back and forth between the two has sparked a great deal of reaction on Twitter from athletes across the world of sports.
Steph Curry is yet to formally respond to Trump's invitation withdrawal.
