Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner are two members of the youth movement in Toronto and like many Leafs players, are excellent follows on social media.
Social media can be a good look into players lives in professional sports, but even better is when you get some access to their lighter sides. For example, looking at Matthews’ feeds, you can tell has a great admiration for Russell Westbrook and he’s very into fashion. Even better is when the players have some fun with their accounts, like Matthews did with this post of him and Marner.
If you haven't ever seen Batman, all of the joker tags are in reference to Marner's suit's resemblance to the purple one The Joker wears. This isn’t the first time he’s done this, as he also tagged his friend and Calgary Flames rookie Matthew Tkachuk as Harambe on his ugly Christmas sweater. Maybe someday Tkachuk or Marner will get justice with a tag of their own.
Oh, and of course everyone loved their style, including Biz Nasty, whose comment game is still as outrageous as ever.
