There have been many storylines emerging from this year’s NHL season. Some of them have been positive, such as the emergence of so many talented young players, and others have been less than ideal, such as the NHL players not heading to PyeongChang, or Jagr leaving the league the way that he did. One of the most controversial storylines of the year has certainly come from the ever-ambiguous goalie interference coaches challenge.

In fact, it’s been such an issue that we made a list of the most confusing calls so far. You can find that here.

On Monday, Mike Babcock and the Leafs were unpleasantly surprised with the decision made on a 3rd period Sabres’ goal. After the game, Babcock and basically all of Leafs’ nation on Twitter let the refs, the league, and anyone else they could think of have a piece of their mind.

Th Leafs were a benefactor of the questionable rules not long ago when there appeared to be some interference on Tuukka Rask, leading to the Leafs' game-winning goal, so maybe this is an act of the hockey gods. As Babs said, one thing everyone can agree on – something needs to be fixed, hopefully before playoffs.
