On Tuesday night, the Dallas Stars started a five-game road trip in Colorado as they faced the Avalanche for the second time this season.

The Stars had won four games in a row heading into their matchup with the Avs and Ben Bishop was in net for all four of those wins.  In his latest outing against the Avalanche, though, Bishop allowed three goals on 17 shots before being pulled in the second period with his team down 3-2.

Kari Lehtonen came in and allowed the game winning goal with seconds remaining in the second period as Colorado picked up the 5-3 win, and after the game Bishop voiced his displeasure with being pulled in that situation.

After the game, Ken Hitchcock commented on the decision to pull Bishop:

It seemed like the Stars woke up as they outshot the Avalanche 14-7 in the final frame, but that could also be due to the Avs trying to sit on their lead and play more defensively.

Still, we understand where Bishop is coming from and he has every right to be upset about being pulled in that situation, especially given how well he's played recently.
