If you are a fan of the NHL, then you must be familiar with one of the greatest lines in NHL history.

For four minutes and 30 seconds in the 2008-09 NHL season, Paul Bissonnette and Sidney Crosby shared the ice for the Pittsburgh Penguins. In their time together, Bissonnette and Crosby put up a 100% CF – just ridiculous.

Clearly, Crosby learned a lot from their time together as he has continued to have a very successful NHL career since then. Now, Biz has uncovered some more information that may link him to the success of the NHL’s newer generation as well.

We can’t argue with that, although we’re not sure Biz is going to be the person they thank when they go up to accept NHL awards in the future. He might as well start running a development camp where all he does is stand on the ice with prospects for a couple minutes.

All jokes aside, don’t believe all of Bissonnette’s self-deprecation. He actually did put up pretty good numbers across the board in the NHL and we’d love to see him back in there at some point. He wasn’t just a goon. In over 1000 minutes of even strength ice time, his team scored 55.2% of the goals while he was on the ice. Though he only played 18 games in the AHL this season and just turned 32, so it may not happen.

He’s not wrong about one thing; the numbers do speak for themselves.
