LeBron James’ days in Cleveland appear to be numbered, despite efforts from the city to keep him there.

Fans are already speculating where ‘The King’ might head next, and one of the hottest cities James has been associated with is Los Angeles; particularly with the Lakers. One of the city’s stars, LA Clippers power forward Blake Griffin, doesn’t believe the Ohio native will make his way to the Golden State. In fact, he thinks the Knicks will land the superstar before either of the California squads do.

During an appearance on the View From The Cheap Seats Podcast, Griffin had this to say:

The following is an excerpt from View From For The Win:

“Honestly, I don’t see him coming to L.A., period. Listen, again, I have no idea. I think something is brewing with him and his group of guys. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but something’s brewing. And I think they’re going to try to make that work.”

He then went on to say:

“I could see him going to New York before L.A. … I still think, when you go to the Garden, it’s a completely different feeling. The energy — there seems like there’s just a continual buzz the entire game.”

Interesting.

Griffin added that he hasn’t spoken to LeBron and has no idea about where he’ll end up in 2018. But as a fellow NBA star, his opinion is definitely still worth something.

James' current teammate Derrick Rose previously played in the Big Apple, so the two will likely have a serious chat before any serious decisions are made. It’s tough to imagine Rose will have many positive things to say though, considering he was unable to get back to his MVP form during his time with the team.

The next year is going to be a long one for both James, and the fans seeking his services around the league.
