Pierre McGuire is known for having a endless knowledge of hockey players, their hometowns and where they’ve played hockey in the past.

We’ll never understand how he’s able store that much knowledge in that brain, but we’ll forever be fascinated by it. The majority of hockey fans are aware of Pierre’s memory for this, but apparently hockey players have noticed too.

Bobby Ryan proved that when he joked with Pierre during an interview by blurting out his hometown at the end of it.

Hilarious. Ryan just couldn’t lose last night. He’s been a stud for the Senators in the playoffs, scoring two goals and two assists in two games. He’s helped put the Sens up 2-1 over the Bruins in one of the many shocking developments in this year’s NHL playoffs.

Ryan also shares a birth state with McGuire, as they were both born in New Jersey. Pierre was born in Englewood. It’s not nearly as impressive that we know that though, because we had to Google it.

Playoff time is the best time for Pierre McGuire interviews.
