It’s been an eventful week for Brad Marchand, but the forward is still dressed in his team's matchup tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers at TD Garden.

A few days ago, Marchand sounded off about the NHL’s new face-off rule, saying that it’s “an absolute joke”, and continued with “that’s how you ruin the game of hockey.” Despite his anger, the Bruins forward has turned his attention back towards playing and couldn’t contain his excitement ahead of this evening's game.

It doesn’t seem to matter what rules are in place, Marchand will clearly still love the game regardless. He does raise a good point though, as it really has been a while since his last NHL contest. The Bruins were defeated nearly five months ago in Game Six of the first round on April 23, 2017.

Marchand will look to continue on his strong 2016-17 campaign, one in which he recorded 85 points in 80 games. Hockey fans from all over surely agree with Brad, and can't wait for the 2017-18 season to get underway.
