An Atlanta Braves fan was humiliated to the ultimate degree on Friday night after losing his footing during a race at SunTrust Park.
The challenger was selected to compete in the “Beat The Freeze” contest, and was given roughly a 200-foot head start against ‘The Freeze’. With hardly any distance left, the fan had victory in sight until he tripped over his own feet and hit the deck. To make matters worse, he attempted to pump up the crowd right before his spill.
You can actually see the fan’s face once he realizes the race is no longer in his hands. It also looks like he’s attempting a slide to second base if you take another look in slow motion.
It’s hard to fault the fan too much considering the comeback was so improbable. Besides, it’s not like he’s the first person to celebrate prematurely either.
Hopefully this fan learnt his lesson.
