Saturday, one day after his team was eliminated from the NCAA tournament, Brock Boeser made his NHL debut for the Vancouver Canucks.

Not only did the 20-year-old make his NHL debut for the Canucks, but he did so in Minnesota, the state in which he was born, meaning his family was there for the wonderful moment.

Ahead of puck-drop, Boeser's parents, Duke and Laurie, read the starting line-up featuring their son in an incredible moment.

Boeser's dad has Parkinson's disease, so we imagine the moment was even more special for Duke and his son.

In his first NHL game, Boeser scored the game-winning goal and was named the first star of the game, too.

It was a day Boeser and his family will never forget, and it's always nice to see those moments play out.

Brock and the Canucks will try and end their road trip with a win against the Jets Sunday.
