While many sports fans might be quick to dismiss esports, its growth and rise in popularity and big name investors are reasons why it will only continue to get bigger and better.

In fact, the NBA and Take-Two just announced a history-making partnership to create the NBA 2K eLeague.

That being said, the NBA wasn't the only sports related entity to make news in the esports world.  Delaware North, the parent company of the Bruins and the TD Garden announced an investment in Splyce.

Delaware North wants to help Splyce grow by using TD Garden as their home arena.

The Bruins aren't the first NHL team whose ownership group has invested in esports, either.  They join the Devils and Capitals in that regard, and several NBA franchises have made in investments in esports already, too.

Splyce currently has teams in League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Call of Duty, Overwatch and many more.
