The John Hopkins Blue Jays and the Navy Midshipmen went head-to-head in the lacrosse season opener on Tuesday afternoon.

With the game all tied up at 7-7 with less than six minutes left to go in the third quarter, Canadian junior Joel Tinney pulled off one of the sweetest hidden ball tricks you will ever see to give the Blue Jays an 8-7 lead.

It looked like only one defender had a feeling that Tinney still had possession of the ball, but it didn’t matter because the Innerkip, Ontario native fired a rocket from long distance right into the wide open cage to put his team on top.

The goal wasn’t the game-winner, but it came close, as John Hopkins gained momentum after that amazing goal and went on to win 15-8.
