Carlos Correa double downed on making sure that November 1st, 2017 is was the greatest day of his life.

The Houston Astros won the World Series over the Los Angeles Dodgers and will be receiving a ceremonial ring to honour their Game 7 championship win. For Astros shortstop, he not only will be granted a ring from the special night, but he also had the luxury of giving one out.

During a post-game field interview, Correa told MLB on Fox’s reporter Ken Rosenthal that he “wanted to take another big step in his life.”

So, he dropped to one knee, pulled a ring out of his back pocket, and asked his girlfriend, Daniella Rodriguez to marry him.

Was there anyway she wasn’t going to say no?

The 23-year-old said he had planned to propose if the Astros had won the World Series, and had a back-up plan just in case they didn’t win.

Check out Big Papi’s reaction.

 What a moment.
