Early Sunday morning, Toronto Raptors fans probably weren't expecting to hear about a trade involving their team, but that's exactly what happened.

The Raps dealt DeMarre Carroll to the Brooklyn Nets along with a couple of future draft picks for Justin Hamilton.

Carroll's time in Toronto was filled with ups and downs, but at the end of the day he was a contributor and part of the team that went to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history.

Once the news of the trade broke, Carroll took to Instagram to thank Raptors fans and Canadians for the support.

Carroll loved the city of Toronto and this great country, and he'l be missed by fans and players alike.
