St. Louis Blues’ goaltender Carter Hutton is a mad man.

The backup tendy hit the batting cages prior to the Blues’ ‘One-Nation Classic’, a series of events including a skills competition, pick-up hockey game, and a contest between local police officers and fire fighters at Busch Stadium. Instead of batting though, he decided to play catcher… In full hockey equipment.

We’re not sure what would hurt more; stopping a baseball or a hockey puck. Considering Hutton didn’t play in the Winter Classic, he clearly wanted to make sure that he looked sharp in-between the pipes for the big game. Who knows, perhaps Hutton will continue to make trips to Busch Stadium and have Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright throw hockey pucks at him instead.
