Chance the Rapper has appeared as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live multiple times over the past few years, but this weekend he made his debut as the guest host.

On the latest episode of SNL, Chance played the role of Lazlo Holmes, a full-time New York Knicks beat reporter for MSG who was filling in as the New York Rangers’ rinkside reporter for the night.

Not used to the cold atmosphere or very familiar with the game of hockey in general, Chance did a fantastic job acting as a clueless hockey reporter in the skit.

During the skit, Chance even did a mock interview with a Brady Skjei lookalike and the New York Rangers defenceman got a real kick out of the piece as he was tuning in with Kevin Shattenkirk.

It’s safe to say Chance the Rapper did a fantastic job in his first appearance as a the guest host.
