The feud between LeBron James and Charles Barkley doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. It all started during when Barkley fired shots at LeBron, saying he is “inappropriate, whiny, and all of the above”. With things not going so well for the Cavaliers as of late, James reached a boiling point and lashed back at Barkley following Cleveland’s disappointing loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

"He's a hater.  What makes what he says credible? Because he's on TV? I'm not going to let him disrespect my legacy like that. I'm not the one who threw somebody through a window. I never spit on a kid. I never had unpaid debt in Las Vegas. I never said, 'I'm not a role model.' I never showed up to All-Star Weekend on Sunday because I was in Vegas all weekend partying."

"All I've done for my entire career is represent the NBA the right way. Fourteen years, never got in trouble. Respected the game. Print that."

Of course, Barkley did not let James have the last word and responded to his comments while he was a guest on ESPN Chicago 1000’s Waddle & Silvy this past Tuesday, where he basically stated that he didn’t have a problem with what James said about him because some of it was true, but also made it a point to say James was overreacting and was sticking to his points he made about him a week earlier on television.

On Thursday night, Barkley got his first opportunity to get a word in about the situation on television and continued to stand by what he said last week. However, he made it a point numerous times to say that he never took any personal shots and that everything he said was just basketball talk and nothing else.

It seems like Barkley used these past few days to think about what he originally said and realizes why both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade lashed out at him after he made his comments. He did say he spent the last couple of days golfing, so perhaps that calmed him down.

However, despite seeming a bit cooler headed this time around, Barkley stood by what he said about not being friends with the young players in today’s game because they get too emotional, and doesn’t plan on becoming friends with them anytime soon.

Do you think Barkley’s comments about James were unfair?
