On Wednesday, we told you about a cool promotional game in the ECHL featuring the Brampton Beast hosting the Reading Royals for a Marvel Super Hero night.

Another ECHL team is raising the stakes even higher, as the Cincinnati Cyclones will be honouring the 25th anniversary of The Mighty Ducks film series with three different jerseys that appeared in the three live-action films.

For each period played against the Fort Wayne Komets on January 24, the Cyclones, the Buffalo Sabres’ ECHL affiliate, will wear a customized jersey that was showcased in The Mighty Ducks, D2: The Mighty Ducks, and D3: The Mighty Duck.

Following the game, the three jerseys will be auctioned off, with proceeds heading towards the Cincinnati Cyclones Foundation. Considering the popularity of The Mighty Ducks series, those won’t be lasting long, and will surely generate a healthy wad of cash.

On Friday, the team will hold a Nickelodeon Night featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Both the Cyclones and Toledo Walleye will sport a custom jersey, with the Walleye rocking a jersey revolved around the Turtles’ main nemesis, Shredder. The first 3,000 fans to walk through the gates at U.S. Bank Arena will receive a Ninja Twister bobblehead. $1 Dontaos Pizza slices will also be available as part of the promotion.
