Sunday afternoon was rolling along regularly for the Cincinnati Reds and their play-by-play announcer Thom Brennaman, until suddenly an unexpected guest paid a visit to the broadcast booth.

Was it a former Reds’ great, or maybe a Cincinnati Bengal? No. It was a bird.

With the Reds down to the Colorado Rockies in the top of the 7th inning, a bird suddenly appeared in the broadcast booth and perched up on the back of a chair. Instead of shooing the bird away or calling some sort of animal control, Brennaman decided to have some fun with it.

This interview certainly wasn’t the regular small-talk you often see, and it stirred up quite a reaction from fans on the internet.

Unfortunately, the rally bird was unable to inspire a comeback and the Reds would end up losing the game 6-4.
