Pete Rose is one of the greatest players to ever play the game, but the Baseball Hall of Fame still refuses to let him in.

The 76-year-old Cincinnati, Ohio native is MLB’s all-time leader in hits, games played, at-bats, singles and outs, and he won three World Series rings, three batting titles, two Gold Gloves and one MVP Award during his 24-year career.

On Saturday, the Reds officially unveiled Rose’s statue outside the Great American Ball Park before their game against the Los Angeles Dodgers and it’s pretty awesome.

The man known as ‘Charlie Hustle’ throughout his career will now join Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan and Tony Perez as the only players with statues outside the ball park.

To make the day even cooler, the team gave the first 30,000 fans in attendance their very own replica Pete Rose statue to take him.

It’s nice to see the Reds honour Rose like this since Cooperstown refuses to acknowledge his outstanding career.
