The Nashville Predators are off to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in franchise history.

On Monday night, Game 6 was a back-and-forth contest all the way up until late in the 3rd period in Smashville. After giving up consecutive goals to the Ducks, Colton Sissons helped put the game out of reach, completing his natural hat trick before the Preds scored two empty netters to officially punch their ticket to the Cup Finals.

On Tuesday, The Tennessean, which is the daily newspaper in Nashville, Tennessee, had a front page dedicated to the Predators big win. As mentioned above, it was the first time in franchise history the team advanced to the Final, so the newspaper had a little fun with their headline.

On the odd chance you don’t understand the headline, it’s a play on the Predators namesake/ mascot. Gnash, the Predators mascot, is a saber-tooth tiger from the prehistoric period. Get it?
