Over the past 24 hours, everyone from Alexander Ovechkin to Sidney Crosby has shared their feelings on the NHL saying it won't participate in the Olympics.

Ovi's opinion on going to the 2018 Winter Olympics hasn't changed.

Not every player, though, has had the same opinion on the matter, which makes sense considering there is still so much confusion surrounding the winter Olympics in 2018.

Tuesday, ahead of the Oilers' game against the Kings in Los Angeles, Connor McDavid was asked about the Olympics and he shared his feelings on the issue.

We imagine most young players probably feel the same way as McDavid.

They grew up watching the Olympics and dreaming of representing their country on the international stage.

Considering the incredible crop of young players in the league right now like McDavid, Auston Matthews, Jack Eichel, Patrik Laine (the list goes on and on), it would be very disappointing if none of them got to showcase their talents internationally.

Furthermore, if the NHL doesn't end up participating in the Olympics, it could lead to a lockout, something no players or fans would want.
