Saturday night, Jon Jones did something no other fighter has done, finish Daniel Cormier.

Thanks to a devastating head kick and a flurry of punches, Jones won the second fight between the two in the third round to reclaim his title.

There were a lot of notable things that happened after the fight was over, one of which being Jones calling out Brock Lesnar, but the thing we're going to focus on right now was what Cormier did to Big John McCarthy.

In the moment, it seemed like Cormier was upset at McCarthy for stopping the fight when he did, and that's understandable, even if shoving him wasn't the right way to go about showing said frustration.

DC took to Instagram to make things right as he issued a heartfelt apology to McCarthy and congratulated Jones on the victory.

First off, thank you all for the kind words. I have felt the support. Congratulations to Jon Jones and his team. They did a phenomenal job and got the victory. Also, to Big John McCarthy, I would like to apologize for acting up with you. I am thankful for the time you gave me to try and defend myself and stay in the fight. You are the best in the business for a reason. I also wanna thank my team and my coaches. I love you all from the bottom of my heart. Your time and energy is greatly appreciated. You guys did a wonderful job, I was ready. It's a fist fight and things happen. Dana White and the @ufc, thank you for being the premiere organization in all of MMA. Again, congrats to Team Jones and JacksonWink. Love you all. I'll see you soon. DC 📷@layziethesavage

We imagine McCarthy will appreciate the kind words and even though Jones and DC seemingly hate each other, both were very respectful after the result.
