For all of the much-deserved hype surrounding players like Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews, Sidney Crosby has reminded the hockey world that he's not ready to give up the title of 'best player in the world' just yet.

Crosby is fourth in the league in points with 36 and first in the league in goals with 22, and oh yeah, he's only played 27 games.  Against the high-powered Rangers, Sid scored goal number 22 to join some pretty elite company in Penguins history.

After the 7-2 win in which Crosby finished with two points, he was in the spirit of giving evidenced by this awesome gesture in which he gave his stick to a young girl.

Judging by that video, the young Crosby fan seemed pretty excited, but this picture truly displays how happy she was.

What a wonderful gesture from Crosby.  Of course, this is the season of giving, and in Sid's last 11 games, he has 9 assists, so he's giving on and off the ice which is great for the Penguins and their fans.
