Earlier this summer, Sidney Crosby announced he would be taking the Stanley Cup back to Nova Scotia on August 6th and 7th.

The dates are no coincidence as the 7th is Crosby's 30th birthday.

With it being Sunday, August 6th today, that means the Cup is in Nova Scotia and there are pictures that prove that is the case.

Crosby not only arrived safely with the Cup, but he also surprised some kids at a local children's hospital in Halifax with it.

Crosby also visited a Veteran's Retirement Home with Lord Stanley's Mug.

We imagine Crosby will be making more stops today in Halifax, so follow Keeper of the Cup on Twitter to see where he'll go next.

Monday also figures to be an action-packed day for Sid as he'll be involved in two parades, one in Halifax and one in Rimouski where he played junior hockey.
