Tuesday night, NHL hockey returned to the lives of hockey fans after taking a break for All-Star weekend.

In total, 14 games were played, one of which featured the New York Islanders hosting the Washington Capitals.

This season has been filled with drama for the Islanders as they fired Jack Capuano after a win earlier this season and just days ago it was reported that the Barclays Center would be opting out of their agreement with the team.

Despite all of the negativity, though, the Islanders have been playing some of their best hockey as of late, and that continued against the Capitals as they beat them 3-2 to improve to 7-2-1 in their last 10 games.

After the game, though, CSN Capitals got the last laugh for Capitals fans by trolling the Isles in the worst way possible.

Too soon.

While the troll job is pretty perfect, we imagine fans aren't very happy about the reported news of the opt-out.

That being said, one fan decided to take matters into his own hands and troll right back.

Clearly the Islanders and their fans have a fighting spirit, and that's what it's going to take for them to make the playoffs as they're currently just 3 points back of a playoff spot.
