The 40-yard dash is one of those parts of the NFL combine that has become more of a competition than a true test of skill.

Still, they’re fun to watch and we’ve already had some pretty exciting moments this weekend with Chris Johnson’s 4.24 record run being beat. Still, this might be more impressive. Detroit Lions beat writer Tori Petry decided to step up to the plate and run the 40 herself, and it was very impressive. Somehow, she ran it in under six seconds in heels.

To put it in perspective, Tom Brady in proper attire and trying to make an NFL team, ran a 5.28 at his combine. Petry’s 5.98 is only .7 seconds slower than that. To compare to a non-professional athlete, there’s only one other reporter we know of that ran the 40: Rich Eisen. He does it every year and last year he ran a 5.94.

He also tied her time a couple years back and he was elated.

Plus, she still thinks she could have shaved off a little time with better form.

Her run was also faster than one draft eligible player too. Offensive Lineman Isaiah Thompson ran the 40 in 6.06 seconds, but he was the slowest of all time.

Now imagine he tried it in heels.
