The Detroit Lions played their first preseason game at home on Saturday night when they hosted the New York Jets and fans got to experience the new Ford Field for the first time since the massive renovation.

After opening the scoring with a field goal in the first quarter, the Lions added to their lead in the second quarter as quarterback Matthew Stafford connected with Marvin Jones for a five-yard touchdown and Jones made sure to celebrate the first touchdown at the newly renovated stadium with style.

Marvin Jones got some help from wide receivers Golden Tate and T.J. Jones to pull off the fantastic jump rope touchdown celebration.

We’re glad the NFL decided to change the rules on touchdown celebrations because they make the game that much better.
