If we asked you who's leading the American League in batting average so far this season and gave you three guesses, we think a good number of fans wouldn't know the answer.

For those curious, Rays outfielder Corey Dickerson is leading the AL in batting average (.346) and he has eight more hits than any other batter in the American League.

Tuesday night in Texas, the 28-year-old continued his ridiculous start to the season with two hits against the Rangers in a 9-5 loss, one of which was a double on a pitch that actually bounced in front of the plate.

The Vlad reference is completely appropriate in this situation.

The announcers and baseball fans alike were amazed by the hit, and they took to Twitter to share their reactions to it:

Dickerson will look to continue his six-game hitting streak as the Rays go for the series win Wednesday.
