You don't have to know a ton about shoe culture to know that Kanye West's signature shoe line with Adidas has been one of the most hyped up products to ever hit the sportswear market.

Back in February 2015, West and Adidas released the Yeezy 750's, and despite the public's initial negative impressions of the shoe, it sold out instantly in stores, with pairs selling on the aftersale market for thousands of dollars (and they still do). Each and every release since then has been relatively the same story, with new editions of the 350 and 750 continuing to be highly coveted items. It's been rumored for quite some time that Adidas would be releasing a Yeezy basketball shoe, and on Monday, Yeezy himself may have provided a first look at them to the world, posing in a picture with the UCLA basketball team and fellow rapper 2 Chainz.

The pictures don't exactly provide a clear view of the shoe, but it does seem to look like an actual athletic shoe, versus the atleisure design of his previous releases. It's also rather ironic that a much-hyped Adidas product is being "leaked" in a picture with UCLA athletes, as the school just officially ended their deal with Adidas and began their new partnership with Under Armour on the first of July.

Coincidence? Maybe, but it seems a bit suspicious, especially considering 2 Chainz is also an Adidas ambassador. As for the shoes, we'll rest on saying no comment, as the chances of us actually owning a pair are pretty much slim to none. If they are indeed athletic shoes, don't expect to see Adidas athlete James Harden wearing a pair, as the guard has always worn low tops, and the shoe Yeezy is wearing looks to be a high-top. Who knows, maybe Swaggy P will wear them, or even Andrew Wiggins.

We should also mention that while both the Yeezy 750s and the Nike Yeezy 2s were not basketball shoes, they have been worn on-court in the NBA before, with the latter pair being worn by noneother than P.J. Tucker during the Raptors playoff run this past season.
