Cody Bellinger has come into the league like a wrecking ball.

Monday’s game against the New York Mets saw the Los Angeles Dodgers’ rookie crush two more homers against Zach Wheeler, this feat marked another couple notches in the season of broken records for rookies (Aaron Judge is also having a ridiculous season for the Yankees).

When Bellinger entered Monday’s game he was one home run shy of the fastest all-time to reach 20 home runs (51 games). The record was previously held by Gary Sanchez (2016) and Wally Berger (1930), but it now belongs to Bellinger after he took Wheeler deep twice to reach 21 home runs in his first 51 games.

On top of that, Monday marked Bellinger’s 5th multi-homer game, only the 6th rookie all-time to do it, and he managed to accomplish it the quickest.

Bellinger has been on fire all season, but his stats lately have been out of this world.

While Bellinger’s ridiculous season probably won’t quite keep up this pace (a home run every 9.2 at bats), he has proven that he is a legitimate MLB force.
