Drake was in full Toronto Raptors mode during the team’s 128-94 home pounding over the Philadelphia 76ers last night at the Air Canada Centre.

The notorious rapper was spotted courtside drinking a glass of Pinot Grigio, while witnessing his team profusely thrash their opponent.

As the Raptors held a hefty lead in the third quarter, Drake shared his thoughts on their chances of winning in the 2017-18 season. After hopping on the headset, he stated his unsurprisingly high expectations of the team.

The following is an excerpt from FTW

“Norman Powell looks great, DeMar DeRozan set to have the season of his life, Kyle Lowry’s looking streamlined, Lucas tatted-up Lu’s got more face tats than any rapper that I know. It’s crazy. We’re going to the Eastern Conference finals, boys.”

He does raise a good point, Lucas Nogueira’s face does have more tats than most rappers.

There is certainly some truth to Drake’s statement. Following the injury to Boston Celtics small forward Gordon Hayward, a date with the Cleveland Cavaliers (in all likelihood) is up for grabs in the Eastern conference. With DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry still in their prime, Canada’s loan basketball team could find themselves in their second conference final in the three years.

Speaking of the two superstars, Drake posted a couple of ‘Flashback Sunday’ photos with the two, and even included former Raptors fan favourite Amir Johnson. Take a look.

Things might get a bit messy if the team can theoretically meet the Golden State Warriors in the 2018 Finals, as the pop culture star has also demonstrated an appreciation for the latter and a close friendship with Steph Curry. For now, it’s nice to see the Toronto legend back on the court cheering on his country's squad.
