This week Matt Duchene joined the Ottawa Senators in a unique trade that shook up the hockey world. Hailing from Haliburton, Duchene is likely well aware of the Senators fierce rivalry with the Maple Leafs, as well as the fact that a ton of Buds fans buy tickets to see the two teams clash in Ottawa.
However, in this week's Thumb League, we imagined an exaggerated world in which Duchene may not have realized just how many Leafs fans show up to the Canadian Tire Centre to watch the game. Oh, and how many waffles they bring with them.
It's been awhile since waffles have made an appearance at a Leafs game, but what better time to bring back the tradition then at a Sens home game!
