The Vancouver Canucks signed centre Bo Horvat to a six-year, $33 million extension on Friday morning.

Horvat took to Instagram to celebrate his new extension, posting a photo of himself scoring a goal last against the Carolina Hurricanes from last season.

6 more years!!! And I couldn't be happier spending it in Vancouver #nucks @canucks

Horvat’s reaction in the photo is a terrific one, as lifts his left knee up and punches the air after roofing one past Eddie Lack. There was just one issue: Lack was a member of the Canuck in Horvat’s rookie season back in 2014-15, and the Flames goaltender had a little fun with Horvat's photo selection Now with the Flames, Lack humorously took exception to the post and wasn’t going to let his former teammate off the hook for uploading the photo of Bo scoring on him. The goaltender commented on the photo, to which Horvat later jokingly apologized for.

The Swedish goaltender loves to interact with his teammates and fans in social media, and has become on the better personalities in the league.

The Canucks are hoping Horvat can continue to build on his upwards trajectory after potting 52 points in his third season in the league. It's widely expected that Horvat will be the next captain of the Canucks, as the team shifts to a more youthful bunch with Horvat being the face of the franchise.

Once a rookie, always a rookie.
