Millions of kids grow up with the dream of becoming a professional athlete, but only a chosen few do ever realize that dream.

Patriots Julian Edelman dared to dream big, letting his teachers know that he had more than just the hope of making it to the NFL, he believed he would make it. Along the way Edelman had an English teacher in college who seemingly tried to get Edelman to consider the possibility that he might not achieve his ultimate goal, and instead try to aim for something more realistic. As you know, the reality of the situation is that Edelman did in fact make it, which has led to that very same college teacher reaching out to the receiver with an apology letter.

Julian Edelman's English teacher sent him a letter apologizing for doubting him.

Edelman likely took no offense to the teacher's suggestion, and chances are he definitely didn't remember the remark. Still, nice to see that the teacher recognized that they should be encouraging young dreamers to reach for the sky.
