Sunday night, the Erie Otters and Windsor Spitfires battled for Canadian Junior Hockey supremacy in the Memorial Cup final.

An incredible back and forth affair ended with the host Spitfires beating the OHL champs 4-3 and lifting the Memorial Cup in front of their fans.

The loss was absolutely crushing for the Otters, and Troy Timpano displayed just how devastating it was after the game when he threw his stick at a cameraman who passed by Erie's bench to capture the team's reactions.

The 19-year-old allowed four goals on 22 shots in the loss, so it's understandable as to why he was so upset, but that wasn't the right move to make, and he admitted that in an apology on Twitter.

The moment is one we imagine Timpano wants a chance to do over, but that's not how life works.

He can, however, learn from the situation, and the apology from a fierce competitor who let his emotions get the best of him is a great start.
