Erik Karlsson has been the story of the playoffs for the Senators, and maybe for the league thus far. He has 13 points in his last 12 games and has done so on a fractured foot.

However, as he points out, the Sens only really needed him for three games.

After the Senators closed out their series against the Rangers, Karlsson was interviewing with Pierre McGuire and he explained that Jean-Gabriel Pageau had them covered for the fourth.

This is of course a reference to Game 2 of the series in which Pageau scored four goals in a 6-5 overtime win.

You might even say that Pageau hit ‘em with the four that game. If Auston Matthews got a song about him because he scored four, Pageau definitely deserves one for doing it in the playoffs. After all, the people who originally made the song went to Carleton (A university in Ottawa) anyways.

Until he does get one, just imagine they’re saying Pageau in this.

How #MapleLeafs fans imagine #Matthews and #Marner driving to work today...
