Erik Karlsson put together one heck of a playoffs to help the Ottawa Senators reach the Eastern Conference Final.

In 19 playoff games, the Senators captain scored two goals and added 16 assists for 18 points and finished with a +13 rating while averaging 28 minutes of ice-time per game.

To show just how impressive Karlsson’s playoff run really was, he managed to put up nearly a point per game while finishing with a +13 rating and he did it all with two cracks in his left foot and muscle damage in his ankle.

On Wednesday afternoon, the two-time James Norris Memorial Trophy winner underwent surgery to fix all his injuries and wasted no time updating Sens fans on his status once he woke up.

It’s always a good thing when you can’t remember anything from your surgery.

We’re glad to hear Karlsson is doing well following his offseason surgery.
