The Edmonton Eskimos are coming off a bye week and are looking to keep their undefeated record intact when they host the Ottawa Redblacks on Friday night.

The team hit the field for practice on Tuesday afternoon and had some special guests in attendance to watch them prepare for Friday night’s game.

YMCA Northern Alberta campers got to take in the Eskimos’ practice at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium and the players welcomed them with open arms.

As all the kids made their way down to the front row for a chance to meet some of their idols and possibly get some autographs, Eskimos defensive end Odell Willis decided to pick a few fans out of the crowd and brought them onto the field to meet some of the guys up close while they put in work.

It really doesn’t get much cooler than that. Those two youngsters were probably just hoping for a high five from Willis, but instead they got to go onto the field and meet some more players.

The players made sure to set aside some time throughout the afternoon to hook up the young fans with some autographs and high fives.

It’s always great to see the players put the fans first, especially when they go above and beyond to make sure they’re having a great experience.
