Evander Kane is very familiar with Vancouver.

The 25-year-old winger grew up in Vancouver, BC and spent his junior hockey days with the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League.

On Friday, the Buffalo Sabres winger shared a fantastic photo for Flashback Friday and it featured a couple of Canucks legends.

The picture features an 11-year-old Kane sitting next to Canucks captain Markus Naslund. On the other side of Naslund is another young hockey player, who happens to be sandwiched between Naslund and Trevor Linden.

It’s always cool to see professional athlete share photos of themselves meeting other professional athletes before they were even on the scouting report.

Mitch #Marner has been a Leafs fan for a long time. 👦
