When the NHL's Top 100 greatest players list was released, six of those 100 were still currently playing in the league. Sidney Crosby, Jonathan Toews, Jaromir Jagr, Alex Ovechkin, Patrick Kane and Duncan Keith were the six players. Are there any other current players deserving of being on the NHL's Top 100 greatest players list that didn't make the cut? The name we keep hearing come up in conversation is Pittsburgh Penguins' Evgeni Malkin.

A reporter finally asked Malkin what his thoughts were on his Top 100 omission, and he had a pretty amusing response to say the least:

A couple more trophies and a couple more Stanley Cups might help him make the cut. And who knows, Malkin might already be player No. 101, they simply haven't announced that many players yet...

Gotta love Malkin.
