During the 3rd quarter of Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith jumped in late to contest a shot from Kevin Durant. Footage of the shot was shared by the NBA on Twitter, and fans online are convinced that Smith may have been attempting to pull the same move as Pachulia, having stuck his leg out late.
We'll never really know Smith's intentions on the play, but some fans have seemingly made up their minds and decided that his foot flung out too far to be just a coincidence.
