Derek Jeter has lived a pretty sweet life. One that he wouldn't trade with absolutely anyone.

Sunday, the New York Yankees officially retired Jeter's number, immortalizing the club legend with his very own plaque in Monument Park. In front of a sold out crowd at Yankee Stadium, Jeter delivered an elegant, impactful speech that perfectly reflected his place as one of the classiest players to ever play the game of baseball.

It was in that very same speech that Jeter brought up an interesting talking point that got fans debating. In case you missed, here's the quote that had sports fans pondering..."has there even been an athlete who's lived a greater life?"

Now, it's a pretty tricky question to unpack, as most people don't really care to admit out loud that they would trade their life with anyone else, but with Jeter, it's kind of worth pondering. After all, he's had a pretty extraordinary life, on and off the field. And so, the debate raged on...

Alright, so that wasn't much of a debate, as the general consensus is that Jeter was more than justified to make the statement that he did. With that being said, we'll leave it up to you guys to decide. Has any athlete lived a better life than Derek Jeter?
